🌈 Lee Pride – A Day to Remember

On Saturday, June 14, Lee hosted its very first Lee Pride—and what a day it was! Despite a drizzly setup, the skies cleared just in time for a joyful, community-filled celebration of inclusion and love.

The morning began with a heartfelt Interfaith Pride Prayer Breakfast, bringing together voices from across the community in a spirit of reflection and unity — while they enjoyed rainbow bagels! By 10 a.m., the vendor and farmers market was buzzing, with over 50 participants and a sea of rainbow gear lighting up the park. Bubble machines added to the fun, drawing smiles from kids and adults alike.

Drag Story Hour with Poppy DaBubbly and Bella Santarella brought sparkle, silliness, and pure joy to the lawn, followed by a soulful set from Christine Bilé, whose rich voice filled the park

A special thank-you to the volunteers from Parasol Patrol, who were on hand with their signature rainbow umbrellas not due to weather, but to help create a safe and welcoming space for all. Their quiet presence added an extra layer of care and protection—though they were thankfully not often needed, their support was deeply appreciated.

Later in the day, guests gathered at the Devonfield Inn for an intimate acoustic performance by Lita Williams, who wrapped her set with a sweet ukulele encore that had everyone swaying along.

The evening wrapped with two high-energy drag shows at the Starving Artist Café—first a family-friendly dance party, then a bold, adults-only show that brought the house down.

A heartfelt thank you to Berkshire Pride for leading this incredible effort; the First Congregational Church of Lee and the Lee Farmers Market for being terrific partners; and to all the volunteers, vendors, performers, and sponsors who helped bring Lee Pride to life. We’re already looking forward to Lee Pride 2026!
